Summary Responsible for Quality Assurance activities of the Dubuque factory and foundry, including supervision and scheduling of the Quality Assurance Technicians, facilitating quality‑related investigations and corrective actions, documenting plant procedures and work instructions, and maintaining Quality Department equipment.

Responsibilities

Supervise and schedule Quality Assurance Technicians, including performance reviews.

Investigate quality‑related issues using tools such as 5 WHY, Cause and Effect, FMEA, and other problem‑solving techniques to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Handle quality‑related decisions for the Dubuque factory and foundry, including disposition of DMRs, RMAs, and supplier‑related issues.

Conduct daily production checks, inspections, and address quality issues.

Develop, operate, and train personnel on department‑related software and equipment.

Maintain and operate CMM, XRF scanner, contractor, and other measuring equipment.

Implement all QA related software.

Perform problem solving within the department, facility, and company.

Conduct internal audits, review audit findings, and recommend corrective actions.

Reduce waste using data analysis from Power BI, Epicor, and SPC tools.

Identify the need for and develop work instructions.

Coordinate quality training as needed by plant personnel.

Implement new product samples and approvals.

Conduct material analysis using OES, AA, and X‑ray spectrometers (as applicable).

Research and recommend equipment processes for the department.

Manage third‑party audits and visits, including UL and CSA.

Troubleshoot and calibrate electronic testers.

Develop and update inspection plans and SPC setup.

Train coworkers on the use of SPC software.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university and three to five years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
