Overview Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure team is building new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at high scale in a broadly distributed multi‑tenant cloud environment. Our mission is to provide customers with best‑in‑class compute, storage, networking, database, security, and an ever‑expanding set of foundational cloud‑based services.
Responsibilities
Design and implement distributed systems that are highly available, fault‑tolerant, and optimized for performance and scalability in production environments.
Architect and build real‑time and batch data pipelines using Apache Flink and Apache Spark, supporting advanced data processing and analytics use cases.
Work with a broad range of data storage technologies including SQL databases, NoSQL systems, and distributed file systems such as HDFS, ensuring reliability and scalability.
Build platform capabilities that serve security engineering teams, enabling efficient detection, ingestion, and analysis pipelines for security data.
Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code, contributing to the evolution of coding and architectural standards across the engineering organization.
Stay current with emerging technologies in data processing, distributed systems, and big data ecosystems, evaluating their applicability to internal platforms.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with product managers, security engineers, and other software teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver new features that power security use cases.
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
4+ years of experience shipping services software.
Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Proficiency in Java.
Working familiarity with security concepts such as authentication, encryption, and security monitoring.
Strong understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Good understanding of databases, NoSQL systems, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
Knowledge of Internet protocols and standards, including DNS, REST, SSL, and HTTP.
