Job Overview The Senior Salesforce Developer will play a critical role in designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce solutions to support the business operations of our property and casualty insurance company. This role requires deep technical expertise in Salesforce, a strong understanding of insurance business processes, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable and secure solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience integrating Salesforce with core insurance systems and a proven track record of delivering complex projects in a regulated environment.

Job Requirements & Specifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

8+ years overall experience and 5+ years of hands‑on Salesforce development.

Experience with Salesforce integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware such as MuleSoft, Informatica).

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Certifications (preferred):

Salesforce Platform Developer II, Salesforce Platform Developer I, Salesforce AI or Data Cloud related certification.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce applications, components, and integrations, focusing on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Pardot, or Marketing Cloud.

Implement and maintain integrations between Salesforce and core insurance systems (e.g., policy administration, claims, billing) using APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.

Serve as a subject‑matter expert on Salesforce best practices, security, and platform capabilities.

Mentor and guide junior developers and administrators.

Participate in code reviews and enforce development standards.

Work closely with business analysts, product owners, and end‑users to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure high‑quality releases.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues.

Maintain documentation for solutions, configurations, and processes.

Required Skills

Advanced proficiency in Apex, Lightning Components (Aura/LWC), SOQL, and Salesforce Flows.

Strong understanding of Salesforce security, sharing, and data model architecture.

Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (Git, Copado, Gearset).

Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

Participate in daily stand‑ups and sprint planning meetings.

Develop and deploy new Salesforce features and enhancements.

Review and optimize existing code and configurations.

Respond to and resolve support tickets and production issues.

Collaborate with business and IT teams to refine requirements and deliver solutions.

Document technical designs, processes, and user guides.

Monitor Salesforce system health and performance.
