The role places you at the center of Tesla’s advanced manufacturing facilities, ensuring that production equipment runs smoothly and efficiently. You will apply your technical expertise to install, maintain, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, factory automation, and robotics, while collaborating closely with process and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

What You’ll Do

Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on all industrial production and mechatronics equipment.

Repair production‑down equipment and operate and repair every cell on a line.

Conduct Corrective Maintenance on mechanical systems, conveyor systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and piping.

Manage inventory of parts, supplies, and lab equipment, and request necessary items from engineering or storerooms.

Document all work performed and report findings and follow‑up items to engineering and other team members.

What You’ll Bring

Five (5) or more years of maintenance experience on production manufacturing equipment or equivalent education/training.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Solid electrical knowledge, including understanding of electrical requirements and hazards.

Proficiency with pneumatics, solenoid valves, actuators, control operations, and the ability to read schematics.

Analytical problem‑solving skills to identify root causes and implement long‑term solutions.

Physical Demands

Perform physically demanding work for up to 12 hours daily, including walking, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, and climbing ladders.

Frequent lifting, pushing, and carrying up to 35 lbs. (including 20 lbs. up and down stairs).

Operate in tight spaces and wear personal protective equipment such as fall protection, safety glasses, and respirators.
