Tolling Market Lead
Join the HDR team as a Tolling Market Lead and partner with local area teams to cultivate and manage client relationships with toll agencies worldwide.

Overview The Tolling Market Lead will support HDR’s Transportation Business Group by identifying and developing projects and programs for toll facility clients across 36 operating areas, and enhancing HDR’s suite of toll industry services.
Responsibilities
Partner with local area business development leaders and business group managers to research and share knowledge of trends and drivers within the tolling market.
Support the identification, pursuit, and delivery of tolling opportunities where HDR can compete and deliver professional services.
Help develop client relationships with toll clients, including local area teams and market sector teams.
Lead HDR’s strategy for presence and leadership in industry organizations such as IBTTA.
Collaborate with HDR leaders across the business group to broaden the range of tolling services offered and to provide professional development for staff.
Support industry organizations and growth of HDR with toll clients within the highway and roads market sector.
Facilitate participation of local areas in industry organizations that contribute to HDR’s growth.
Services Provided to Toll Clients
AET conversions for existing facilities
Planning and design services for technology, payment methods, and advisory services
Mobility and operational technology services including ATST, ITS, CAV, tolling system development and operations, managed lanes, ZEM and OT cybersecurity
Advisory services including asset management, ROW, value engineering, funding and finance
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) credential preferred
Recognized leader in the toll roads/toll facilities space
Proven ability to set and execute the strategy for growth of a practice, ideally in the tolling market
Established relationships with major toll clients/DOT agencies
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, planning or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of industry experience
Experience in development and management of strategic marketing programs for architecture, engineering, and/or planning services
Experience managing a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits
Experience in staff development, including recruiting, career pathing and professional growth
Experience with industry associations and a visible profile in the market sector
Ability to work cooperatively with team members across multiple business group levels
