Job Description
The Mammography Technologist performs radiographic mammography procedures which produce high‑quality diagnostic images for use in the detection of breast tissue abnormalities. This position works independently, performing a variety of procedures that require judgment, initiative, and attention to detail.

Hourly Rate:
$35.25 – $54.39 (depends on experience)
Sign‑On Bonus:
Up to $1,500 for eligible applicants

Job Essentials
Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
Performs radiologic mammography exams per protocol, including advanced procedures such as stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, drainages, etc.
Demonstrates positioning competency.
Provides breast self‑examination education and written materials to patients.
Operates mammographic equipment to produce diagnostic images of high quality.
Opportunely selects imaging techniques to meet diagnostic goals.
Employs radiation protection to ensure safety of patients and staff, meeting all ALARA requirements.
Keeps up with new procedures and equipment to maintain high skill level.
Maintains records in accordance with JCAHO and Utah State Bureau of Radiation Control.
Completes all required documentation accurately, including time stamps and image storage.
Minimum Qualifications
ARRT registration.
Current Radiologic Technologist license in the state of practice.
Must meet and maintain mammography‑specific ACR & FDA/MQSA requirements.
Must meet and maintain the ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CT and X‑ray imaging.
Experience in imaging or mammography.
Physical Requirements Lifting, Manual Dexterity, Pulling/Pushing, Seeing, Speaking, Standing, Walking.
