Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for an experienced Senior Tax Associate at Langdon & Company, LLP located in Garner, NC. The Senior Tax Associate role requires prior accounting experience, along with knowledge of current law, regulations, and tax requirements. A successful candidate is a detail-oriented individual that is highly organized. They should also be comfortable with working directly with clients on recommendations for the best tax processes that strictly adhere to legal requirements.
Responsibilities
Organizing and analyzing clients’ financial information
Taking advantage of opportunities to minimize tax liability through deductions
Preparing necessary forms for filing taxes
Advising clients about tax liabilities and other tax-related matters
Establishing and updating client records
Keeping abreast of IRS situations and state and local tax rules and regulations and ensuring full compliance
Prior experience with preparation of complex business tax returns and implementation of tax planning strategies
Ability to communicate effectively with clients about tax strategies and tax law matters
Capable of multi-tasking and handling multiple deadline-oriented projects at once
Team oriented and able to work in independently when needed
Ability to manage and develop staff
In office preferred
Requirements
EA or CPA
Minimum of three years tax preparation experience
Proficiency in accounting software for tax preparation
Strong analytical skills to analyze tax data effectively
Understanding of tax accounting principles and practices
Experience in financial accounting tasks
