Transmission Line Engineer

Responsibilities
Conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new and upgraded transmission lines.
Material procurement and construction support through line energization.
Develop design calculations, detail drawings, specifications, and other construction documents under the guidance of a senior engineer.
Create project scope documents, finite element models using PLS-CADD, and engineering drawings for structures and foundations.
Develop loading, framing, foundation, and plan‑and‑profile drawing sets.
Produce staking sheets, sag charts, and other construction exhibits.
Produce material and construction specifications.
Assist with client and stakeholder coordination, training and mentoring of design staff, project quality assurance, and oversight of designers, drafters, and support personnel.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor of Science or Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
2+ years of design engineering experience or project engineering experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organization, planning, and team‑work skills.
Commitment to quality and accuracy with fast‑paced project schedules.
PE license preferred, or commitment to obtain one.
Knowledge of transmission engineering principals, applicable codes, standards, and design tools.
Basic project management skills and ability to oversee design personnel preferred.
Subject to client‑mandated drug and background checks.
Occasional travel required; must meet ECI auto insurance carrier requirements.
Must not require visa sponsorship (e.g., H‑1B).
