Integration Solutions Architect (Senior or Lead)
to support the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Sapphire Program team in Hazelwood, MO; El Segundo, CA; North Charleston, SC; Ridley Park, PA; Mesa, AZ; Plano, TX or Seattle, WA. This role is pivotal in modernizing our digital infrastructure, focusing on the seamless and secure integration of critical systems, including ERP, PLM, and MOM. Locations: Hazelwood, MO; El Segundo, CA; North Charleston, SC; Ridley Park, PA; Mesa, AZ; Plano, TX; Seattle, WA. Position Responsibilities Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-wide integration solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and resilient Define the technical strategy and roadmap for integrating disparate systems (ERP, PLM, MOM) across the organization Oversee the integration of business-critical systems, primarily focusing on ERP (e.g., SAP S/4HANA), PLM (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE), and MOM (e.g., Siemens Opscenter) Ensure all integration solutions comply with strict security protocols and government regulations (e.g., NIST, CMMC) Architect solutions that support both classified and unclassified network environments, including cross-domain data transfers Architect and oversee the implementation of secure cloud-native and hybrid cloud solutions, adhering to DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC SRG) and DISA STIGs Utilize expertise in hybrid cloud architectures (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) to architect secure and scalable integration platforms Leverage modern technologies such as API gateways, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), microservices, and serverless computing Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to development teams, project managers, and business stakeholders Conduct technical reviews and mentor junior architects and developers Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, IT, cybersecurity) to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions Manage the full lifecycle of integration solutions, from initial design and proof-of-concept to deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement Leverage hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing complex applications in cloud and on-prem environments Design and implement highly decoupled, scalable microservices architectures Lead API Gateway management, service mesh (Istio, Linkerd), and inter-service communication patterns Manage Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates; define, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC principles Automate deployments, infrastructure changes, and testing frameworks (unit, integration, end-to-end) Configure security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) integrated into CI/CD pipelines Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) in cloud environments (RDS, Azure SQL) Implement FedRAMP requirements as they relate to DoD cloud adoption Implement identity and access management in cloud environments (AWS IAM, Azure AD) Apply cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, routing, VPNs, direct connect, express route) Oversee SIEM logging solutions (Splunk, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor)
Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor's degree or higher 5+ years of experience with software development in Agile methodology 5+ years of experience interacting with business architects, IT function architects, and business executives 5+ years of experience with application modernization best practices, development, and architecture including database design 5+ years of experience with cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google, PCF/Tanzu or similar) 5+ years of experience with systems integration design differences between applications and platforms, and DevSecOps design/development
Preferred Qualifications (Desired)
10+ years of related work experience or equivalent Master's degree or higher Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) 5+ years in aerospace and defense industry 5+ years experience with DevOps software (GitHub, GitLab, Ansible, Terraform, Jira, Azure DevOps Pipelines, AWS CodePipeline, etc.) 5+ years working directly with DoD agencies or defense contractors 5+ years working with geographically spread teams across time zones 3+ years developing user interfaces 3+ years with Enterprise Systems Architecture Tool Suite (ESATS) Experience with AI/ML integration in cloud environments
