Position: Project Architect Locations:
Jacksonville, FL & Miami, FL
We are currently seeking experienced and licensed
Project Architects
to join our dynamic teams in Jacksonville and Miami. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about architectural design and technical excellence. The successful candidates will lead the design and documentation process, manage multidisciplinary teams, and ensure projects meet client expectations, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead architectural design from concept through design development, ensuring alignment with client goals, budget, and technical feasibility.
Produce comprehensive construction documents including plans, elevations, sections, and specifications in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to integrate architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables are completed on schedule.
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, resolve discrepancies, and uphold quality and design intent.
Serve as the primary liaison among clients, consultants, and project teams to maintain alignment and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance and fostering professional development.
Ensure all documentation complies with permitting, zoning, and sustainability standards, including LEED and WELL certifications.
Secondary Duties
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Collaborate effectively across teams and departments, contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
Adapt to evolving project needs and organizational priorities with flexibility and initiative.
Qualifications
Licensed Architect (RA).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
4–5 years of professional experience in architectural design and project delivery.
Experience managing mid-sized projects across sectors such as commercial or institutional (educational K‑12 and higher education experience).
Core Competencies & Knowledge
Strong grasp of architectural design principles, construction techniques, and building systems.
In‑depth understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and sustainable design practices.
Familiarity with project management methodologies and interdisciplinary coordination.
Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design tools.
Strong project management capabilities including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
Excellent drafting and detailing skills with a focus on technical accuracy.
Ability to interpret and coordinate complex consultant drawings.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Abilities
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.
Communicate clearly with clients, consultants, and team members.
Interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.
Make sound decisions under pressure and resolve issues during project execution.
