What You'll Do The
Sanitation Technician
is responsible for janitorial tasks completing the Sanitation Program. They support the Production Supervisor with food grade sanitation needs which include the common, office and production areas. Duties involve cleaning drains, working with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment is sanitized and meets food processing standards. This position reports to the Sanitation Supervisor. In the absence of the Industrial Sanitation employee, another Industrial Sanitation employee will serve as backup. We offer multiple career paths, training in GMP, HACCP, food safety and food production related subjects.
The primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Cleaning duties as set out on the master sanitation schedule for floors, drains, walls perimeters in the plant and warehouse meeting company, customer and government standards
Daily cleaning i.e. tanks, pipes and equipment, (some CIP and COP) and filling room floor.
Safe handling and documentation of chemicals used.
Use water carefully so equipment is not damaged.
Removal and emptying of production garbage and debris.
Manual and/or electrical pallet jacks.
Maintain all sanitation documents in accordance with plant quality and safety requirements.
The shift hours are set at 9pm - 5:30am, Monday through Friday with Sunday Overtime, Hours are Not Negotiable.
What You'll Need to Succeed
High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
Previous experience in food sanitation, knowledge of chemical handling, cGMPs and HACCP.
Able to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
Good organizational and mathematical skills, data entry of related information.
Ability and willingness to follow plant Quality, Safety and Security policies and guidelines.
Able to effectively communicate with co-workers and plant management.
Have a good mechanical aptitude, basic math and measurement.
Able to work flexible hours and overtime as required.
What's In It For You The starting wage for this role is
$26.00
per hour (minimum). This position may also be eligible for a shift differential and/or overtime.
