HVAC TB Service Controls Engineer
Johnson Controls is looking for an experienced HVAC TB Service Controls Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for the design, configuration, repair, and operation of complete HVAC building control systems and other low‑voltage subsystems.
Base Pay Range $30.00/hr - $42.00/hr

What You Will Do Under general direction, you will be responsible for the service & repair, design, configuration, and operation of HVAC building control systems and related low‑voltage subsystems such as lighting, nurse call, and data networks to meet customer intent and JCI goals.
How You Will Do It
Design, configure, and service technically complex building control systems for customer facilities.
Create flow diagrams, sequences of operations, bills of materials, network layouts, schedules, and electrical schematics.
Develop and test software programs necessary to operate systems per customer requirements.
Coordinate and create necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals, services, and installation.
Select, order, and track delivery of materials for assigned jobs.
Assist in loading and commissioning of system and network‑level controllers; validate system functionality and resolve issues with subcontractors.
Provide field change information for as‑built drawings and software updates.
Communicate job progress and issues to management, contractors, and customers.
Perform site‑specific training for owners/operators on the building control system.
Participate in coordination and release meetings with sales and service operations; perform value engineering to provide cost‑effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction.
May provide work direction to Service Controls Technician I and Senior I and Senior II Controls Technicians.
Adhere to safety standards and maintain a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
Minimum eight (8) years of experience in HVAC or construction/service industry.
Demonstrated knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems, and other building subsystems.
Experience integrating low‑voltage building subsystems using industry protocols (e.g., LON, BACnet).
Ability to communicate technical information to non‑technical audiences.
Advanced computer drafting skills.
