Job Title Sr Category Space Manager (POGs) – Acosta

Position Overview Hybrid schedule, 3 days per week onsite in Rogers, Arkansas. Lead a team of four Space Managers and act as the category expert, driving sales through strategic data‑driven presentations using retailer and syndicated data as well as tools such as Blue Yonder, Circana, Nielsen, etc.

Responsibilities

Provide analytical support for Space and Category Management projects utilizing retailer and/or syndicated data, industry‑standard reports, and Acosta’s proprietary Space analysis tools.

Use Space‑related insights to develop and maintain best‑in‑class planograms; implement approved recommendations, clients’ shelving standards, and customer‑specific objectives.

Partner with Business Managers and BI associates to create sales presentations addressing client or customer business issues and ensure quality results of final deliverables.

Identify category space optimization opportunities, gain support for proposed changes and follow through on implementation.

Create client‑specific reports measuring performance against strategic initiatives and objectives; update and refresh weekly and monthly dashboards for assigned clients.

Keep abreast of clients’ Key Performance Indices (KPIs), strategies, and innovations; share information with BI and Sales partners.

Engage with data/vendor partners to manage data quality and ensure accuracy of all reports and deliverables.

Qualifications

Education Requirements : High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Category Management Certification a plus.

Work Experience : 3–5 years related experience; related work experience can substitute for the educational requirement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

Supervisory skills.

3–5 years of experience using Blue Yonder, JDA Apollo, or other Space Management software, including advanced expertise in Space Analytics.

Advanced proficiency in Windows, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI preferred.

Ability to conduct data mining using retailer or syndicated data (IRI/Nielsen) and standard analytical tools.

Self‑starter who identifies and leverages relevant data to diagnose situations, propose solutions and drive results.

Strong communication skills; able to present information clearly and concisely to business partners, clients, and customers.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.

Physical Abilities : Vision (seeing), color perception, touch.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions Work primarily in a corporate office setting with occasional travel to client sites. Requires regular use of computer, phone, and office equipment.
