best, brightest, and hardest-working Quality Control Manager

Responsibilities

Lead and maintain our SQF Level 2 certification, ensuring compliance with GFSI standards and preparing for yearly unannounced audits.

Oversee all quality control processes, ensuring top food safety standards while collaborating closely with production to balance efficiency and compliance.

Conduct continuous training for staff to uphold our "audit-ready" culture and maintain impeccable records and documentation.

Drive continuous improvement in quality assurance, identifying and resolving issues proactively to prevent non-conformities.

Manage and maintain robust documentation systems to support SQF audits, ensuring scores of 97 or higher.

Act as a hands-on leader, working directly with production teams to implement solutions and maintain our zero-recall legacy.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years

as a second-in-command in quality control at a large food manufacturing company.

At least 3 years

of experience with SQF certification processes.

Proven track record of leading

2 consecutive years of SQF audits

with scores of

97 or higher .

In-depth knowledge of GFSI standards, HACCP, GMPs, and food safety regulations.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a passion for food safety and production efficiency.

High-energy, hands-on approach with a commitment to training and mentoring teams.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to challenges while maintaining meticulous documentation.

Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
