VP- of Human Resources (Head of People & Culture) Simplicity Credit Union is looking for a Vice President of Human Resources to join our team! The VP of Human Resources provides strategic and operational leadership for all areas of human resources, ensuring Simplicity Credit Union attracts, develops, and retains exceptional people who align with our culture and mission. The VP of HR plays a critical role in shaping Simplicity’s leadership and people strategy, advancing a high‑performing, people‑first culture, and aligning HR initiatives with the credit union’s long‑term strategic goals.

Position Summary

Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership on culture, workforce planning, and leadership development.

Lead and execute HR strategies that support the credit union’s growth, strengthen culture, and champion Simplicity’s values through transparent communication, engagement, and accountability.

Oversee all HR operations including payroll, benefits, compliance, HRIS, and policy development to ensure accuracy and legal compliance.

Manage annual HR budgeting, compensation, and total rewards review cycles, ensuring fairness, consistency, and alignment with market data.

Direct recruiting, workforce planning, and succession efforts to attract and retain top talent.

Coach and advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, corrective actions, and engagement.

Lead Learning & Development efforts, including onboarding, leadership development, and professional growth programs.

Partner with the Chief Experience Officer to align training and service standards that support member experience.

Ensure HR compliance with all legal, regulatory, and audit standards.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.

Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or senior management role.

Demonstrated expertise in HR strategy, compliance, and organizational development.

Strong understanding of employment law, compensation structures, and performance management.
