High Performance Computing (HPC) Systems Administrator (SA I) – Government AT&T Global Public Sector is a trusted provider of secure, IP-enabled, cloud-based, network solutions and professional services to the Federal Government. The scope of this Contract requires specialized expertise in HPC, automated processing systems, distributed software design, and secure hosting and networking solutions. IT infrastructure includes Linux, Windows, and UNIX with various network devices, server interconnections, mass storage solutions, and supporting infrastructure services. Services cover HPC, infrastructure maintenance for HPC systems, networking, office automation, and the development of specialized software. Location: Columbia, Maryland. Some duties may require work at Ft. Meade, MD 20755. Office presence is required a minimum of 5 days per week. No relocation is offered. Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain UNIX and/or NT based platforms, including user account management, backups, and configuration files. Develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies and verify health and status of the IT infrastructure. Provide support for enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, e-mail services, and security protection, ensuring interoperability of UNIX and NT systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems and technologies. Experience and Technical Qualifications

Experience in installation, configuration, and networking of UNIX and/or NT based platforms; user administration and system backups. Fundamental understanding of operating systems; familiarity with UNIX or NT commands/utilities at user level. Ability to install and configure hardware, operating systems, and commercial software packages; develop backup/recovery strategies; verify infrastructure health. Provide support for enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, e-mail services, security mechanisms, and interoperability of UNIX and NT systems. Candidate Requirements

Multi-vendor servers running a mix of COTS, open-source, and in-house applications for HPC IT support. Multi-vendor servers running Red Hat or SUSE with direct-attached FC SAN storage or SSDs. Experience with distributing computing tools such as ReS, LSF, and SLURM. HPC farm systems, HPC MPP clustered systems, Front End servers of SPDs. IBM/HP Blade servers with FC/SAS/Network back end. Multi-vendor filesystems such as XFS, GPFS, Lustre. Factory and system integration/testing during HPS purchases. Work location: Ft. Meade, MD 20755. Clearance and Qualifications

Required Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with five (5) years of demonstrable experience in system administration and support of a large client-server IT enterprise. Alternatively, five (5) years of full-time computer science work substituting for the Degree with five (5) years of demonstrable experience. An industry-recognized professional certification may substitute for one year of experience; IAT1 certification may substitute for one year of experience. Compensation and Benefits

Salary range: $79,300.00 – $184,800.00 yearly. Final compensation is based on geography, experience, and education/training.
