Senior Cybersecurity/Reverse Engineer – The Cyber Sentinel Location: Dayton, Ohio.

This position is open for a Senior Cybersecurity / Reverse Engineer that has the ability to architect, implement, and optimize cybersecurity infrastructure in support of Department of Defense (DoD) missions. Candidates must meet the general requirements below to be considered.

What You’ll Do

Conduct reverse engineering of embedded devices, perform vulnerability analysis, and develop secure embedded solutions using Arm assembly, Python, and C.

Architect, implement, and optimize cybersecurity infrastructure in support of Department of Defense missions.

Design secure network topologies, configure and program network infrastructure, and implement security controls aligned with DoD standards.

Apply industry best practices to strengthen critical infrastructure defenses, with emphasis on IC/OT cybersecurity and protecting mission‑critical systems.

Lead by example: mentor junior engineers, foster technical growth, and promote a culture of continuous learning across the cybersecurity team.

Minimum Qualifications / What You’ll Bring

5–10 years of experience as a mid‑to‑senior level Cybersecurity Engineer.

Demonstrated ability to mentor, train, and guide junior engineers.

Expertise with Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and Operational Technology (OT) cybersecurity.

Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and network security principles, with hands‑on experience configuring and securing switches and related equipment.

Proficiency in Arm assembly language, Python, and C for embedded systems and cybersecurity applications.

Hands‑on expertise in reverse engineering embedded devices, including firmware analysis and exploit mitigation.

Ability to effectively communicate complex cybersecurity designs and risk assessments to diverse stakeholders.

Education/Credentials

B.S. or higher in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.

US Citizenship is required for consideration, as this role requires a US government security clearance.

Acceptable – Secret security clearance.

Nice to have – Top Secret clearance with current SCI access.

Physical Demands

Must be able to remain in a stationary position and work on a computer for prolonged periods.
