Channel Strategy & Sales Growth
Develop and execute a strategic roadmap to position the ecommerce platform as a top-producing sales channel.
Define and manage performance KPIs (revenue, conversion, AOV, repeat rate, margin).
Partner with sales leaders to ensure ecommerce complements, not competes with, traditional sales efforts.
Build playbooks that guide how ecommerce fits within our omnichannel sales ecosystem (Direct, Distributor, Hybrid).
Platform Leadership & Operations
Oversee daily site operations, ensuring flawless functionality, speed, and uptime.
Manage product assortment, pricing accuracy, and promotional execution in collaboration with Sales Ops and Category teams.
Ensure a frictionless purchasing experience — from login to order fulfillment — and continuously optimize checkout flow and UX.
Customer Experience & Retention
Create a differentiated B2B buyer experience emphasizing ease, personalization, and trust.
Lead initiatives such as personalized dashboards, contract (Quoted) pricing, and reorder automation.
Collaborate with Sales Leadership, Marketing, IT, Customer Service, and Product Category Teams to proactively support key accounts and enhance satisfaction.
Digital Marketing & Demand Generation
Partner with Marketing to drive high-quality traffic through SEO, SEM, targeted email, and retargeting campaigns.
Use data-driven segmentation to reach the right accounts with the right offers.
Leverage AI tools to improve targeting, pricing, and cross-sell opportunities.
Data, Analytics & Reporting
Track and report ecommerce KPIs weekly and monthly to Sales leadership.
Use analytics tools (Power BI, Salesforce, etc.) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
Lead A/B testing, CRO initiatives, and customer journey optimization projects.
Technology Integration & Innovation
Drive continuous improvement of the ecommerce tech stack; oversee integration with ERP, CRM, and inventory systems.
Support a transition toward composable commerce capabilities and mobile-first experience.
Maintain compliance with all data security and privacy standards (GDPR, CCPA).
Partner with Category, IT, and Logistics to align digital sales strategy with operational execution.
Develop a “digital-first” sales culture that uses the platform as a growth accelerator.
Sales Enablement & Collaboration
Train and equip the sales team to leverage ecommerce as an extension of their customer engagement.
Partner with Category, IT, and Logistics to align digital sales strategy with operational execution.
Develop a “digital-first” sales culture that uses the platform as a growth accelerator.
Continuous Improvement & Thought Leadership
Stay current on B2B ecommerce trends, technologies, and best practices.
Benchmark against leading platforms and recommend innovations to enhance competitiveness.
Lead pilots, test emerging tools, and champion a culture of digital experimentation.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Experience:
8+ years of progressive experience in ecommerce or digital channel management (B2B preferred); proven track record of driving measurable online revenue and scaling digital sales channels; experience integrating ecommerce with ERP/CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, SAP); strong understanding of digital UX/UI, SEO, and conversion optimization.
Skills:
Analytical and commercially driven, with strong command of ecommerce KPIs and ROI modeling; excellent communicator, collaborator, and influencer across cross-functional teams; comfortable in a data-centric, fast-moving environment; adept at balancing strategic thinking with tactical execution.
Technical Proficiency:
Ecommerce platforms (Shopify Plus, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce); Web analytics (Google Analytics 4, Looker, Power BI); CRM and ERP systems; Marketing automation and personalization platforms.
