Key Responsibilities
In conjunction with senior staff, licensed engineers, and other junior staff assist with the design and preparation of a variety of residential site development projects throughout the Midwest.
Coordinate with fellow MSG staff across a variety of service sectors including: Surveying, Geotechnical, Structural, Traffic, Transportation, Site Construction, etc.
Perform and check various design calculations related to creating a design package.
Prepare front‑end feasibility documents, due diligence reports, zoning studies, storm‑water modeling and design, cost estimates, and detailed design plans.
Occasional day‑travel and field work may be required and coordinated in advance.
Other additional tasks as needed, at the direction of supervisor and other senior staff.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
2‑5 years of related experience specializing in residential development.
Knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
EIT certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months, with a clear path toward PE licensure.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a vibrant, multi‑faceted team environment.
Motivated and flexible; roles and responsibilities may change rapidly.
