Whether the solution involves a stand-alone machine, multi-process equipment, or an integrated manufacturing system with robotic automation, our goal remains the same: to optimize throughput and quality at the lowest per-part manufacturing cost. We’re looking to add a service manager to our Southeast operations to share their expertise, and learn along with us as we continue to be an industry leader and continue to lead the industry to success. This is a great opportunity to work with a very dynamic and growing Service Organization and the role will be attached to our Brentwood, Tennessee office, however this could also be a remote role.
Responsibilities
This position will work with sales, builders, service operations associates, technical support specialist, and field service engineers to coordinate response to service and information requests from customers.
They will have oversight over the deployment calendar and scheduling for all field service technicians / engineers and may on occasion have to deliver direct on-site customer support.
All field service engineer activity including service reports and invoicing details will be reviewed and approved by the field service manager.
Field service managers will be responsible for financial KPI’s, growth of service business, strong customer satisfaction metrics, service agreement commercialization and renewals, as well as leveraging their field service engineer capacity and resources.
Essential Duties
Interface with sales and customers to promote service products and grow the service business.
Schedule, lead, train and manage their direct reports, primarily field service engineers (FSE).
Conduct performance reviews, career path guidance and FSE management to include occasional counseling and corrective actions if required.
Coordinate with engineering to track and schedule critical path activities for installations.
Manage open call log tracking and customer follow-up.
Track open service logs to manage the timeliness of projects.
Commercialize, approve and renew all ESA’s (Ellison Service Agreements).
Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Business acumen and service leadership experience required.
Leadership experience in a CNC Service environment beneficial.
A CNC technical background is required with a proven track record of no less than 5 years in machine tool field service.
The ideal candidate would also have a minimum 2-year technical degree.
Working knowledge, a plus for Fanuc and other CNC controls fitted on equipment currently represented by Ellison Technologies.
