Vernis & Bowling, an AV rated national firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Workers’ Compensation Department in our Atlanta office.
We are looking for a qualified and motivated attorney who can work independently on an assigned caseload, handle general discovery matters—including taking depositions, interviewing witnesses, responding to written discovery, and preparing motions—and bring a minimum of 2+ years of experience in workers’ compensation, preferably with defense experience.
Responsibilities
Work independently on an assigned caseload within the Workers’ Compensation Department.
Handle general discovery matters, including taking depositions, interviewing witnesses, responding to written discovery, and preparing motions.
Participate in trial when required; trial experience is a plus.
Requirements
Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia.
Excellent writing and legal research skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
Enthusiastic, positive approach and a strong team player.
Minimum of 2+ years of workers’ compensation or defense experience.
