Benefits Advisor

Overview We are looking for a motivated Benefits Advisor in the greater Binghamton area to connect with business clients and offer voluntary benefits that provide employees with financial protection during life’s unexpected events. As a Benefits Advisor, you’ll build and nurture relationships with both new and existing businesses, positioning Colonial Life as the preferred provider for voluntary benefits. Benefits Advisors thrive at securing commitments to launch new accounts and work directly with employee benefit programs, making a real impact along the way!

Responsibilities

Prospect for new accounts

Present to decision‑makers and secure a positive commitment

Conduct group meetings before enrollment sessions

Provide enrollment solutions directly to employees

Build relationships and partner with other independent benefit counselors to complete enrollments

Manage accounts throughout the lifecycle

Qualifications

Insurance sales experience and Life & Accident / Health Insurance license (licensing support provided)

Strong work ethic and ability to work independently

Strong presentation and negotiation skills

Associate seniority level

Compensation As a Benefits Advisor, you have the potential to earn commissions based on sales results, renewal income, and bonuses. This is an independent contractor opportunity; earnings are un‑capped and sales results‑based.
