Payment Specialist with POS experience

Direct message the job poster from Boston Data Pro, LLC We are seeking an experienced Payment Expert with deep expertise in the payment processing domain and hands-on experience working with multiple payment processors such as Chase, Fiserv, and Worldpay. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payment gateways, Point of Sale (POS) systems, and tablet-based payment solutions. This role involves configuring, managing, and optimizing payment solutions across various multibrand home services. The candidate must possess a thorough understanding of card networks, merchant acquiring, terminal management, EMV/contactless transactions, and payment integrations with enterprise systems. Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of payment solutions across POS systems and Tablets. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless payment processing across retail and e-commerce channels. Manage POS software configurations, payment terminals (EMV, NFC, etc.), and ensure compliance with PCI DSS standards. Troubleshoot payment issues at the terminal, gateway, or acquirer level and drive resolution. Support onboarding of new payment methods (e.g., Apple Pay, Google Pay, BNPL, QR codes). Coordinate with acquirers, PSPs, and banks for integration and performance optimization. Monitor transaction flows, identify fraud/risk patterns, and implement preventive measures. Document all processes, configurations, and testing for internal knowledge and compliance. Conduct regular testing and updates on POS systems to ensure uptime and accuracy. Train internal teams and provide L2/L3 support for payment-related issues. Qualifications Experience in payment systems, with a strong focus on POS environments. Hands-on experience with POS vendors like Verifone, Ingenico, PAX, Oracle Micros, Square, or Clover. Strong understanding of payment flows including authorization, settlement, and reconciliation. Familiarity with payment gateways, acquirers, tokenization, and fraud tools. Experience with PCI DSS and EMV compliance standards. Solid troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience using device management platforms or remote key injection systems. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Seniority level
