The California Department of Social Services serves, protects, and supports the people of California experiencing need. The departments mission emphasizes inclusive, diverse, and equitable services. The Compliance, Data, and Automation Bureau provides structural support for the Human Resource Services Branch (HRSB) with focus on Quality Assurance, Audits, Branch Operations, and ServiceNow teams. Job Description and Duties

The Branch Operations Unit is seeking a Staff Services Analyst (SSA) (General) (G) to support day-to-day activities and management of the HRSB. The SSA (G) will train under the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) and serve as Personnel Liaison and Branch coordinator between HRSB and Departmental programs for various state, Departmental, and HRSB compliance programs. The analyst consults with internal and external partners on personnel and administrative management practices to ensure compliance with relevant laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. This is an interchangeable position; the SSA (G) may advance to the AGPA level upon meeting performance standards, completing probation, and satisfying minimum qualifications.
