Four Seasons Hotel Seattle is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Banquet Manager to join a team focused on delivering the ultimate service experience. The Assistant Banquet Manager is a member of the operational leadership team, providing direction to award-winning employees who serve our event guests daily. This position reports to the Banquet Manager. U.S. work authorization will be obtained by the hotel for this position. Key Elements of the Job

Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees and supervisors in the Hotel’s Banquet Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met; plan daily outlet operations. Be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle guest, client, and group concerns or special requests. Work alongside operational teams, supporting servers, housemen, and captains. Coordinate set-up requirements for hotel and off-site functions according to the banquet event order; communicate with group contacts, Catering Managers, and Conference Services Managers to ensure all function details are carried out; ensure quality and timeliness of all food items; provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegant environment focused on attentive service. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory and cash control. Attend regular operational meetings to ensure coordination between departments. Observe the physical condition of facilities and equipment in the banquet area and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed. Preferred Qualifications And Skills

One to two years of experience as an assistant manager in Banquets or a Food & Beverage outlet. Working knowledge of the integration of divisional operations and Four Seasons cultural standards, policies, and SOPs. Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting. Ability to operate computer equipment and F&B systems, including MICROS, Microsoft Office, and labor management/payroll systems. Multiple communication approaches for event guests and clients. Ability to proactively anticipate and prioritize guests and employees’ needs. WA State Food Handler's Card & M.A.S.T certification required. Benefits Include
