Assistant/Associate Professor of Social Work Full-time, tenure‑track faculty position. Hybrid/remote work arrangements may be considered.

Responsibilities

Teach social work courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels for both traditional on‑campus and online programs.

Serve as an advisor to social work students.

Support ongoing curriculum review, revisions, and updates.

Assist the Program Director and Division Chair in writing the CSWE reaffirmation documents.

Contribute to the college and the community.

Attend meetings and ceremonies at the beginning of the Fall semester and at the end of the Spring semester.

Demonstrate active research/scholarly activity in the field of social work.

Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching.

Work with the Division Chair and the Program Director in the recruitment and retention of students.

Consistently demonstrate high standards of integrity, supporting Keuka College’s mission, vision, and values.

Maintain high regard for student privacy in accordance with FERPA policies.

Always maintain a professional and courteous attitude toward co‑workers, internal and external customers.

Represent Keuka College positively and professionally.

Maintain effective working relationships for institution‑wide teamwork.

Attend required training and meetings to support position effectiveness.

Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Perform other administrative duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Occasional lifting of boxes, supplies, etc., generally less than 30 lbs.

Some evening and weekend hours required.

Requirements Minimum Qualifications

PhD or Doctorate in Social Work (DSW) from a Council on Social Work Education Accredited program.

Licensure: Eligibility for or possession of social work licensure in New York.

Two years post‑MSW work experience.

Demonstrated interest and potential for excellence in teaching.

Dedication to pursuing scholarly interests in collaboration with students.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

High integrity and confidentiality.

Sensitivity to needs/concerns of students and faculty.

Cultural competence and sensitivity.

Collaborative mindset and teamwork across interdisciplinary settings.

Commitment to professional development and staying current with evolving social work practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Program leadership experience in design, implementation, and evaluation of program initiatives.

Strategic planning skills to meet program goals.

Budget development and financial oversight for program initiatives.

Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Experience advocating for policy changes or reforms.
