Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and commercialization of pharmaceutical products. This role ensures packaging designs meet global quality, regulatory, and manufacturing standards while driving projects from concept through commercial launch.
Job Duties:
Lead packaging design, testing, and validation for new product introductions (primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging).
Develop and maintain packaging specifications, drawings, BOMs, and validation documentation in compliance with GMP and ISO standards.
Execute verification/validation protocols (ship testing, seal integrity, aging, distribution).
Support design transfer and manufacturing readiness, including line trials and troubleshooting at internal and external sites.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure artwork, labeling, and serialization compliance.
Evaluate new materials and technologies to enhance sustainability and manufacturability.
Provide technical support for change controls, risk assessments, and deviations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering or related discipline.
5–10 years of packaging development experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
Strong understanding of material science, stability, sterilization, and barrier packaging principles.
Demonstrated experience with design control, IQ/OQ/PQ, and validation documentation.
Proficiency in ArtiosCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent 2D/3D CAD systems.
Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
