A long‑term leave opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support elementary school students with speech and language development in Elgin, IL. This contract position spans two consecutive leaves, beginning immediately through the end of the current school year, with potential for extension. Responsibilities Include
Supporting language development for elementary‑aged students
Creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
Collecting and analyzing data related to IEP goals to monitor progress
Conducting speech and language evaluations and drafting detailed reports
Collaborating with student IEP teams, parents, and other educational professionals
Providing Clinical Certification Credential (CCC) Fellowship supervision if applicable
Qualifications and Experience
Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education
Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP‑School) or holding the Clinical Certification Certificate (CCC)
Eligible candidates can be SLPs with Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion
Previous experience working with elementary school students preferred
Strong skills in assessment, IEP development, and family collaboration
Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 42‑50 students
Location: Elementary school setting in Elgin, Illinois
