SUMMARY This position requires an individual who can perform engineering assignments with clear and concise objectives, including engineering analysis, design, plan production, and project coordination under the direction and supervision of a Project Manager, in support of site development projects.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the preparation and development of civil engineering deliverables, including construction documents, specifications, due diligence studies, drainage studies, etc. under the guidance and supervision of a Project Manager.
Responsible for all phases of planning, coordination, and design of private and municipal projects in water production, water distribution, wastewater treatment, and sanitary sewer collection. Will include directing a design team toward a common goal of completion of projects within budget and schedule.
Identify and delegate appropriate tasks to Graduate Engineers and Designers and assist in the review and refinement of the project deliverables.
Assist the Project Manager with submittals of the deliverables through the permitting agencies and addressing comments and resubmitting deliverables throughout the permitting process to endeavor to obtain site development permits and other necessary approvals.
Must be capable of using sound engineering judgment to perform design calculations in accordance with adopted standards and methodologies and implementing calculations into the project designs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / LICENSES
Bachelor of Science, Civil Engineering is required.
Registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer or has made application and is awaiting Registration.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
2+ years of post-graduate experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excel, Word, and Bluebeam proficiency
Experience with site development design on commercial, multi-family, industrial, or similar projects
