What You’ll Get To Do The Continuous Improvement Engineer 1 is focused on business processes, new product development projects, supplier improvement efforts, and customer/product issues. The role reports to the OpEx Manager and offers an opportunity to develop professional expertise and apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.

Value Stream Mapping, time studies, participation in Kaizen events, establishing Standard Work, audits/Gemba Walks, and development of PFD, FMEA, Control Plan, Job Element Sheets, root‑cause analysis using 5‑Why, Cause & Effect diagram, A3 tools, New Product Introduction (NPI) validation, creation of test validation plans, gauge studies, and statistical analysis.

Basic knowledge of voice‑of‑customer information; use of problem‑solving tools to determine root cause and derive countermeasures.

Support implementation of lean manufacturing to continually improve processes.

What We Are Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial engineering) or equivalent experience.

1+ years of related experience and/or training.

Knowledge of Toyota Production Systems, mechanical and/or manufacturing processes, understanding of drawings, specifications, and standards, familiarity with machined parts and their manufacturing processes.

Background in continuous improvement.

Familiarity with ISO‑9000 and/or TS‑16949 Quality System.
