Fostering Support Worker

on a Part-Time basis to provide support to our Supervising Social Workers and Foster Carers throughout Chesterfield, Worksop, Sheffield, Derby, Nottingham, Mansfield and all places in between. The role requires a person who can work directly with Children, Foster Carers and other Professionals to ensure quality outcomes for Children and Young people. Responsibilities

Promote the welfare of children/young people placed with Five Rivers Child Care Group. To be involved in the practice aspects of supporting young people in their placements and to assist in the on-going placement process. Work directly with children/young people in a skilled and focused way as part of an agreed programme of work, some of whom may have experienced severe trauma. Co-ordinate groups and joint work for all children/young people, both in the home and community. Planning, prioritising, and managing own workload. Collating accurate records and creating meaningful reports. Supporting each young person in accordance with their care plan, and within the policies and procedures of the agency. We’re seeking a caring, passionate, and motivated individual who enjoys interacting with young people. Candidates must be friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for providing our young people and carers with high-quality support. You may work with Children and Young people with a range of complex needs including Learning difficulties, Autism, and Trauma. You must be able to work as a team member to achieve best outcomes for the children, able to communicate effectively with children and adults. Experience of working in the fostering sector and/or children/young people would be an advantage but not necessary. This is a Part-Time position for 22 hours a week, which could include weekends and after school hours. A full UK driving licence is required for this role as it involves extensive driving across the above areas. Why Five Rivers?
