We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Senior CNC Programmer to join our dynamic Engineering team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process, utilizing their expertise in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) programming to optimize our operations. This position is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional looking to apply their skills and knowledge in a challenging and rewarding environment. Responsibilities
Developing, testing, and optimizing CNC programs using Siemens software to control a variety of machines including lathes, mills, and grinders. Working closely with the manufacturing team to design and produce fixtures or special tools necessary for CNC machines. Interpreting complex engineering drawings, 3D models, and blueprints to understand the specifications and tolerances of the components being produced. Implementing efficient and effective machining strategies and tool paths to ensure optimal performance of CNC machines. Conducting regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet the required specifications. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues with the CNC programs or machines. Providing technical guidance and support to junior CNC programmers and operators. Staying updated with the latest advancements in CNC programming technology and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency. Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in the Engineering industry. Proficiency in Siemens or equivalent CNC programming software. A strong understanding of engineering drawings, 3D models, and blueprints. Extensive knowledge of machining processes, tools, and materials. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the manufacturing team and provide guidance to junior staff. The ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field would be advantageous. Employment type
