Role Overview Joining H&R Block as a seasonal, experienced Tax Professional means you’ll serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team, dedicated to providing you with advanced tax training you’ll need to be successful.
Responsibilities
Conduct tax interviews with clients face‑to‑face and through virtual tools – video, phone, chat, and email.
Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
Provide clients with IRS support.
All certification levels can provide tax notice services.
Circular 230 associates can provide audit representation.
Mentor and support teammates.
Successfully complete the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
Work in a fast‑paced environment and effectively communicate in person, by phone, and in writing.
Must meet IRS and applicable state requirements.
High school diploma or higher (or equivalent).
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
Experience completing complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax.
Experience conducting virtual tax interviews.
Experience with tax planning and audit support.
Sales and/or marketing experience.

Pay Range The pay range for this position is $11.00 – $80.00 per hour, and local minimum wage laws apply. Actual compensation will depend on experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location. Successful candidates may also be eligible for incentive compensation or short‑term incentive plans.
