Food Production Job Summary
Execute the quality systems and programs to prevent or eliminate food safety risks and product quality defects in new and existing products. Provides administrative assistance to the Quality Assurance Department. The Quality Lead maintains authority to cease operations in the event that compliance to quality standards are not being met. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties as assigned. Maintain regulatory compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulatory requirements. Execute the quality systems and programs to prevent or eliminate food safety risks and product quality defects in new and existing products. Actively monitor the production floor for compliance to quality systems and programs with an emphasis on identifying gaps between the production floor practices and the quality systems and programs. Conduct internal Quality and Food Safety training. Act as resource for facility/employee questions and concerns as related to food safety and product quality. Support internal audits and prepare for third-party inspections and certifications. Train and mentor night shift QA technicians. Hold and Release Coordinator: monitor audit and inventory product and ingredient holds, coordinate with Supply Chain, monitor OA and remelt inventory. Outbound Coordinator: administer upcoming outbound log, coordinate finalization impacts, COA generation; coordinate 5th lot lab testing, monitor ingredient COAs compliance, interact with suppliers and service providers. Calibrations Coordinator: coordinate quality equipment calibrations, conduct mock recalls, provide back-up coverage for QA Supervisor and Technicians, monitor quality metrics and trends to QA Supervisor or Manager, monitor cleaning tech activities. Interact with Production, Maintenance, Customer Service, Procurement, R&D, and Customers; assist investigations for adverse events, incident investigation reports, and customer complaints. Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor following safety and quality policies and procedures. Maintain regular attendance and work overtime as needed. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Minimum 2 years of CQC Quality Assurance experience. Preferred
Experience Demonstrating the Ability To Be Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
HACCP and Internal Auditor certified. Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. SKILLS AND ABILITIES
