About The Role As an actuary at AIG, you will be challenged and encouraged to reach your greatest potential. AIG Risk Management (AIGRM) provides Commercial Casualty Insurance coverage to large national companies.

This role is very collaborative and requires working with other actuarial teams, underwriting, finance and claims.

Responsibilities

Be a key member of the rater analytics actuarial team: develop, calibrate, and implement commercial insurance rating tools.

Assist with pricing and reserving analyses and custom projects.

Collaborate with stakeholders including actuarial teams, underwriting, finance and claims.

Monitor loss trends, industry/regulatory changes and communicate to management.

Develop analytical tools and reports to help manage portfolios.

Utilize predictive modeling techniques to enhance pricing/reserving methodologies.

Manage projects and provide guidance to team members.

Explain complex technical results to stakeholders.

Over time develop expert knowledge of AIGRM lines such as workers’ compensation, commercial auto liability, and general liability.

Qualifications

BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area.

FCAS or ACAS.

Significant experience in pricing long‑tail commercial lines products preferred.

Proficiency in Excel, SQL, SAS, Python, R, or other programming languages preferred.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong business and collaboration skills, and responsive to service needs.

Effective time‑management skill.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
