Position Overview Senior Project Manager – Engineering & Construction
The Senior Project Manager will support the Engineering & Construction Program Management team in managing complex, long‑duration fiber‑build and network readiness projects.
The role provides C‑suite exposure and requires strong business acumen, data analytics, and the ability to drive innovative solutions in a fast‑moving environment.
Responsibilities
Lead support and advisory for the Senior Manager of Engineering & Construction and cross‑functional teams.
Oversee development and monitoring tools, reports, and dashboards to improve productivity and efficiency.
Track milestone activities for highly complex projects and programs across multiple lines of business.
Create, deploy, and maintain requirements for tools such as Smartsheet and Excel, and embrace additional systems as needed.
Integrate systems to harvest data and provide analytics and real‑time support to the program management team.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory obligations.
Ensure projects meet network readiness dates within budget allocations.
Create presentations for leadership and the C‑suite.
Provide direct support to the Vice President and their teams.
Collaborate with network and business leadership to design and implement future‑state processes that achieve program goals and end‑to‑end process engineering objectives.
Communicate training materials, flash documents, M&Ps, and related job aids to stakeholders.
Qualifications
10+ years of telecommunications experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical work experience.
Proficiency with standard PM tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Confluence, JIRA, etc.).
Experience with telco network design systems (IQGeo, GIS, SmallWorld).
Strong data visualization skills (PowerBI, Power Apps).
Vendor and contract administration experience.
Ability to create complex methods and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Expertise in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe, and related systems.
Strong strategic business decision‑making based on data analysis.
Ability to build cohesive relationships across multiple departments through training, development, and accountability.
Bonus Points
Master’s degree and/or related work experience.
Knowledge of SAP, Fireworks, BidMaster, LeaseNet, Costar, JDS, WFMT, NDS, CLM, APO, FT3, ARMOR, MARTENS.
Experience with regulatory subsidy compliance.
Physical Demands & Work Conditions
Remote – primarily office‑based, use of computer/office equipment.
Travel up to 4 times per year.
