Location: Remote within the U.S.

Pay: $75,000 - $80,000 plus annual bonus opportunities, company vehicle, benefits, and more.

Responsibilities

Develops and leads the strategic plan for the category and manages the vendor and product portfolio. Evaluates strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats; aware of market intel and share analysis.

Creates and manages sample and display programs.

Acts as the go-to resource for product and programs; provides field and product guidance. Manages customer, employee, and vendor conflict resolution. Serves as the voice of the customer and as a content liaison to internal teams and the industry.

Acts as the visionary for the category; manages new product introductions, obsolescence/inventory management, and collaborates with marketing and other internal departments to ensure vision, strategy, and timeline alignment.

Ensures vendor and internal initiatives are aligned; identifies process and product gaps and creates solutions. Develops and maintains sales tools and resources; manages data and forecasts to KPIs.

Creates training content for internal and customer use; ensures success of factory training events, dealer conferences, and trade shows.

Analyzes consumer needs and market trends to determine new product opportunities and prioritizes according to business strategy.

Creates product strategy documents describing business cases, market requirements, pricing and positioning, and marketing strategy.

Assesses current competitor offerings and seeks opportunities for differentiation and disruption.

Gathers buy-in for the product vision internally and externally; communicates as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.

Drives product launches by partnering with Vendors, Sales, Marketing, Sourcing, Pricing, and other teams to meet category growth objectives.

Builds relationships with vendors to develop and execute promotional plans and product launches.

Serves as the subject matter expert for products, solutions, and suppliers; provides training and market intelligence to grow revenue, profitability, and market share.

Provides direction to Sourcing on price targets, discounting, and other profit components to maximize profitability while growing share.

Contributes to annual management strategy discussions focused on improving sales execution and growing category share, gross profit, and gross margin.

Provides leadership and guidance to help the organization achieve sales objectives by working with field leadership.

Qualifications

Experience in the pool industry is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.

5 years of experience in product development and management.

Expertise with successful product launches preferred.

Significant experience in a dynamic product management role in consumer or industrial products.

Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle including innovation assessment, competitive analysis, ROI, pricing, product launch, and promotional plans.

Highly effective cross-functional team management.

Experience delivering product marketing strategies.

Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong presentation and public speaking skills.

Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

A valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record (no more than 2 violations in 3 years).

The annual compensation for this position is between $75,000 and $80,000 based on a full-time schedule. Relocation or cost of living adjustments may be available. The application window is expected to close after 30 days of posting, but will remain open until filled.
