Summary
The Store Manager oversees the store’s sales efforts, operations, and staff to ensure efficiency and profitability. The role enforces company policies, oversees sales teams, and collaborates with the District Sales Manager and Store Support Center to drive initiatives, growth, and brand representation. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Drive store sales and achieve sales goals, focused on company growth. Manage and control store assets, inventory, and expenses. Direct and oversee entire sales operations, training and mentoring associates. Consult with the District Sales Manager on policies, goals, and procedures. Ensure department standards and responsibilities are met. Mentor and cultivate a high‑performing sales team. Recruit, hire, train, discipline, and evaluate staff; manage payroll and scheduling. Maintain store security and partner with Asset Protection to reduce shrink. Communicate inventory movement and drive inventory goals. Execute marketing and advertising plans and stay aware of customer trends. Monitor competition, new ideas, and community events for opportunities. Provide exceptional customer service as outlined in the customer service manual. Ensure internal control procedures protect company assets and inform management of potential fraud risks. Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage instructor supervisors and non‑management employees, including Sales Associates, Hub Drivers, Assistant Managers, and Managers in Training. Conduct interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisal, rewards, discipline, and problem resolution in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience in a retail environment—preferably footwear/athletic apparel. Experience managing and developing a sales team. 3–5 years of customer service experience; 3+ years of management experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Analytical thinking with business acumen. Strong commitment to customer service and leadership.
