Base pay range $140,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr

A fast-growing electric mobility company transforming how communities move is hiring a Senior People Operations Manager to lead and scale HR operations across the organization. This hybrid role owns the day‑to‑day execution of People functions which includes recruiting and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance while building structure, clarity, and efficiency into every process. You’ll manage a small but mighty team of People Operations Specialists, supporting both the corporate and field employees, including 500+ hourly drivers across multiple states. Salary Range $140,000 - $170,000 / Year DOE

Senior People Operations Manager Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of People Operations including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance

Lead and mentor a team of two People Operations Specialists

Partner with leadership to assess workforce needs, implement best practices, and drive culture‑building initiatives

Manage talent acquisition for both hourly and salaried roles to support rapid hiring cycles

Develop and refine HR policies, processes, and documentation to improve consistency and efficiency

Oversee performance management frameworks that drive accountability and measurable results

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states

Collaborate with Finance and Operations to align HR processes with organizational goals and growth objectives

Leverage data to identify workforce trends and recommend strategic people initiatives

Lead by example as a player‑coach who balances strategic insight with hands‑on execution

Senior People Operations Manager Requirements

7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a management or leadership capacity

Proven success in scaling HR operations within a fast‑paced, startup or growth‑stage company

Experience managing both hourly and exempt employee populations across multiple states

Strong background in recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and compliance

Excellent knowledge of employment law, labor relations, and employee lifecycle management

Experience with HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred)

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification preferred

Strong communication skills, business acumen, and an ownership mindset

Experience in transportation, hospitality, or other distributed workforces preferred

Proven ability to build scalable systems and processes from the ground up preferred

Demonstrated success operating in a lean, hands‑on environment where adaptability is key
