We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented RF Optimization Engineer with hands‑on experience in both prelaunch and post-launch optimization of 4G and 5G networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Layer 3 message analysis, call flows, and KPI optimization, with a preference for those who have worked on T‑Mobile networks and DAS/Small Cell environments.

Requirements Prelaunch Optimization

Perform drive and walk test data collection and analysis using tools such as TEMS, Nemo, or similar.

Analyze Layer 3 signaling messages to validate call flows and troubleshoot integration issues.

Validate network configuration and performance during site shakedown and cluster optimization phases.

Ensure proper handover parameters, neighbor relations, and feature activation for VoLTE, VoNR, and data services.

Collaborate with deployment and integration teams to ensure seamless site commissioning and readiness.

Post-launch Optimization

Monitor and analyze network KPIs (e.g., accessibility, retainability, throughput, latency, handovers).

Identify and resolve performance issues through parameter tuning, feature optimization, and root cause analysis.

Conduct troubleshooting of customer complaints and network anomalies using field data and OSS reports.

Provide recommendations for network enhancements based on performance trends and user experience metrics.

Support capacity planning, load balancing, and interference mitigation strategies.

Technical Skills & Tools

Proficiency in RF optimization tools: TEMS Investigation, Nemo Outdoor, Actix Analyzer, QXDM, QCAT, XCAP.

Strong understanding of 4G LTE and 5G NR technologies, including NSA and SA architectures.

Experience with OSS platforms, performance management systems, and network planning tools.

Familiarity with DAS and Small Cell systems, including indoor RF propagation and interference management.

Ability to interpret PCI planning, RSRP/RSRQ/SINR metrics, and beamforming behavior.

Ability to read and understand iBwave design.

Qualifications Required Experience

3–7 years of experience in RF optimization for LTE/5G networks.

Prior experience working on T‑Mobile network deployments and optimization projects.

Hands‑on experience with DAS/Small Cell optimization, including venue‑specific tuning and troubleshooting.

Experience working with leading DAS OEMs such as Ericsson DOT, Nokia Digital DAS, CommScope, SOLiD, JMA Wireless, Corning ONE, ADRF, and RAN OEMs including Ericsson, Nokia and Samsung.

Experience with CBRS, private LTE/5G, or neutral host networks is a plus.

Soft Skills & Collaboration

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration with deployment, integration, and operations teams.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Comfortable presenting findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and external clients.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
