What to Expect Tesla is looking for a stellar Supply Chain Manager to source semiconductor (EE) components. The role will be instrumental in architecting a long‑term strategy for microprocessors and microcontrollers required for Tesla products encompassing automotive, energy, and robotics. The candidate is expected to be a self‑starter with prior sourcing experience and the ability to manage a strategic supply base.

What You’ll Do

Own electrical components end to end, influencing engineering design through end of life.

Execute contracts such as NDAs, pricing agreements, master agreements, and ensure supplier adherence to key terms.

Ideate opportunities for cost reduction in existing and new products.

Commodity Management: address commodity analysis, market conditions, technology roadmaps, cost modelling, and sourcing strategy.

Supply Chain Management: help resolve bottlenecks to support Tesla’s demand and implement recurrence‑prevention measures.

Supplier Relationships: manage strategic supplier relationships, dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and business reviews.

Data Analysis: compile and analyze data related to supply chain health, component pricing, and supplier performance.

What You’ll Bring

7+ years of experience in supply chain management or commodity management for direct categories used in high volume manufacturing products.

Manage all sourcing activities through the product development lifecycle; technical & commercial understanding of supply chain and manufacturing processes on semiconductors.

Able to manage complex commercial negotiations and structure effective supplier contracts.

Proficient knowledge of technical requirements and design of the product; ability to influence cross‑functional partners with detailed analysis supporting optimized pricing and sourcing decisions.

Proficiency in analysis tools like Excel, Power BI, etc.

Willingness to travel up to 15% of the time (domestic and international).

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business, supply chain, operations management, or engineering.

Preferred: 5+ years of experience in semiconductor or electronics supply chain management.

Expected Compensation $82,800 – $189,000 annual salary plus cash and stock awards and benefits. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Total compensation may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
