ABOUT THE JOB The Senior Supplier Development Engineer, PCB/PCBA (internally known as Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer) is a high‑profile cross‑functional role that enables development and production flow of Anduril’s critical supply base. You will work closely with internal engineering, quality, supply chain, and manufacturing departments, as well as directly with suppliers, to execute effective and innovative supply chain strategies that achieve production goals.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own and manage the PCB/PCBA commodities/subcategories to execute supplier production (NPI to full production) strategies across Anduril’s business lines
Serve as a force multiplier for the Supply Chain team and overall commodity strategy, demonstrating ownership, proactivity, technical excellence, creativity, self‑direction, and courage
Vet suppliers’ production capabilities, factory layout, facilities, and workforce for inclusion in the Approved Supplier List
Support Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE) to ensure suppliers meet part quality criteria set by SQE
Bring up new production tooling and lines at supplier sites, ensuring materials, processes, and tools meet product performance, quality, and demand requirements
Oversee capacity expansion readiness and production ramp‑up at suppliers
Establish and drive process performance and controls (SPC) reviews at suppliers
Identify and drive product and process improvements, factory layout optimizations to lower part cost, reduce supply risk, eliminate defects, and improve cycle time throughout the product lifecycle
Collaborate with SQE on root‑cause task forces, closing the loop of corrective and preventive actions at suppliers
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or a related technical field
5+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within a manufacturing environment
Experience with PCBA manufacturing, IPC standards, SMT processing, CAD, and GD&T
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Relocation to Costa Mesa, CA (or already local)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
Experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high‑tech, or related industry
Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and certifications
Familiarity with high‑mix, low‑volume product development
Comfort in a fast‑paced startup environment
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills
U.S. TS clearance (or ability to obtain)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS US Salary Range : $146,000 – $194,000 USD (base only; equity grants may be included). The offer will consider experience, education, and critical skills.
