Why Box Needs You As a Mid‑Market Account Executive – Higher Education, you will prospect new customers and demonstrate how Box satisfies their content management and collaboration needs. You will own the entire sales cycle, from discovery to closing, and build relationships across multiple departments.

What You’ll Do

Own the full sales cycle, source and close net new logos within higher education, Mid‑Market segment (500–2,000 employees).

Build and execute a comprehensive territory plan with high‑volume opportunities and larger strategic deals.

Research prospects to gain insight into their business challenges and Box’s value proposition.

Influence and drive the sales process while managing multiple stakeholders.

Collaborate with internal partners to move deals forward and ensure customer success.

Visit key accounts in person as appropriate (unless pandemic restrictions apply).

Who You Are

4+ years of sales experience with a proven track record of success.

Experience closing deals in the higher education industry (preferred).

Proven ability to manage a high‑volume book of business while advancing larger strategic opportunities.

Disciplined use of a repeatable method for uncovering green‑field opportunities and building a new territory.

Experience building relationships and selling to stakeholders within higher education institutions or similar multi‑stakeholder environments.

Skilled in multi‑threading and executive presence; confident navigating business, technical, and security stakeholders.

Prior success in technology sales.

Proficient with CRM and sales engagement platforms; experience leveraging AI/intent data to drive pipeline and forecast accuracy.

Willingness to travel periodically for customer meetings and events; 1–3 days per trip, 1–2 times per month.

Valid driver’s license may be required for on‑site client visits.

Benefits & Compensation Base salary range: $198,500 – $248,000 USD annually. Eligible for equity and a comprehensive benefits package.
