Job Summary The Director of Supply Chain will lead all supply‑chain operations for Ornua Foods North America Inc in Evanston, IL. The role ensures seamless flow from suppliers to customers, optimises inventory management, and builds strong stakeholder relationships. The position reports to the VP of Supply Chain and is full‑time.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive supply‑chain strategies that align with company goals, continuously assessing and improving processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Oversee inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels, minimise excess inventory, and reduce holding costs.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts, managing procurement activities, and ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality materials and products.
Manage logistics operations—transportation, warehousing, and distribution—to optimise the supply‑chain network for timely and cost‑effective delivery.
Work with internal manufacturing partners to optimise production of supply plans, leveraging the Co‑Manufacturing network to satisfy excess demand.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing supply‑chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Develop and manage the supply‑chain budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality and efficiency.
Identify potential supply‑chain risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supply‑chain performance and prepare regular reports for senior management.
Identify and leverage advanced supply‑chain technologies and systems to enhance visibility, efficiency, and decision‑making capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) preferred.
Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in FMCG/Foods supply‑chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent leadership and team development track record.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in supply‑chain management software and ERP systems.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Strong understanding of global supply‑chain trends and best practices.
Collaborative mindset with proven cross‑functional and geographic coordination.
