Job Overview Position: Tender Specialist, Global Tender Management (DSV – Air & Sea) Location: Miami, FL Time Type: Full Time Expected base pay: $51,000 – $70,000 / Annual DSV is an equal employment opportunity employer. Employees are hired at will.
Duties And Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end process of responding to tenders and requests for proposals (RFPs).
Analyze customer requirements and collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive responses.
Develop internal templates and pre-populate pricing inputs using Microsoft Excel VLOOKUP techniques.
Create and maintain Excel formulas and models for pricing analysis.
Handle project and task assignments in a timely manner.
Develop and analyze detailed reports, charts, and shipment simulations related to pricing and spend.
Conduct competitive analysis to ensure the competitiveness of pricing structures.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor pricing.
Provide insights and recommendations based on market research.
Collaborate with sales, operations, and other departments to create compelling proposals.
Ensure accuracy and completeness in all tender submissions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and engage with clients to understand their needs.
Prepare and present regular reports on tender performance, win/loss analysis, and pricing effectiveness.
Learn and gain transportation knowledge across all modes to support future assignments.
Maintain excellent written and verbal communication.
Qualifications
2–4 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong data analysis and modeling skills.
Experienced with large data sets.
Expertise with Microsoft Excel.
Degree or coursework in Statistics, Mathematics, Social Sciences, or Business-related field.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of logistics and transportation industry dynamics.
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to write and debug complex nested formulas.
Knowledge of macros and familiarity with SQL & VBA are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Fluent in English (oral and written).
Second foreign language a plus.
Basic mathematical skills.
Strong affinity for technology and numbers.
Willingness to learn and work closely with others.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent time management and attention to detail.
