Hale Visiting Assistant Professor in Mathematics (Multiple Positions) Join Georgia Institute of Technology as a Visiting Assistant Professor in the School of Mathematics. The appointment will begin in Fall 2026 and is an annually renewable three‑year, non‑tenure track position.

Job Summary The School of Mathematics invites applications for several research and teaching appointments. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to teaching, mentoring, and research. The role includes a reduced teaching load in the first year, ongoing research funding, and a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion in line with Georgia Tech’s institutional values.

Responsibilities

Develop an international level research program.

Collaborate with faculty across the university in research and grant efforts.

Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses.

Engage in service activities that support the Institute’s Student Success Criteria.

Required Qualifications

PhD or its equivalent in the Mathematical Sciences, earned not more than 5 years before the start of the appointment.

Preferred Qualifications

Potential to carry out research of exceptional quality at Georgia Tech.

Research interests that complement existing strengths in the School of Mathematics.

Strong potential for external funding.

Teaching, scholarship, or service that contributes to student success.

Experience in Pure or Applied Mathematics and Statistics.
