Our client, growing fintech company, is looking for a Vendor Manager to join their team. This role plays a key part in ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams, external partners, and vendors to achieve efficient sourcing, streamlined onboarding, and consistent service excellence. Acting as a central link between the organization and its partner network, this position focuses on optimizing vendor performance and driving operational improvements. Responsibilities also include risk assessment of current relationships, expense management, process automation, and support of new partner onboarding, risk assessment and integration.

Core Responsibilities

Oversee partner and supplier relationships, ensuring contractual terms, performance standards, and service expectations are consistently met.

Conduct periodic vendor reviews and risk evaluations to maintain compliance and performance quality.

Serve as the main point of contact for vendor-related matters, addressing delivery or service concerns and maintaining a clear understanding of agreements.

Manage invoice reconciliation, payment processing, and resolution of expense discrepancies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document workflows and enhance contract management processes.

Work alongside leadership to develop and automate reporting metrics related to performance tracking and expense management.

Lead and prioritize key operational initiatives tied to vendor management and partner readiness.

Support onboarding of new origination and partners by coordinating with compliance, technology, and business development teams.

Ensure partner data and documentation are accurately collected, validated, and stored for compliance and audit purposes.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations, procurement, vendor management, or project coordination—ideally within financial services or a similarly regulated industry.

Proficiency in Excel and project management tools; experience with data-driven process improvement is a plus.

Strong analytical mindset, not just button pressing but asking “why” the buttons are being pressed.

Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and leadership levels.
