Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Remote Learning & Development Specialist for a well‑established, mission‑driven national financial services organization. This position is fully remote, with up to 20% travel to regional offices, meetings, conferences, and training events.
Position Overview In this impact‑oriented role, you will design, develop, and deliver engaging training programs and content that support the organization’s strategic goals. The Learning & Development Specialist creates interactive learning materials, such as e‑learning modules, instructor‑led training, videos, and job aids, while collaborating with subject‑matter experts (SMEs) and leadership to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organizational priorities.

Responsibilities
Design and develop training content, including e‑learning modules, instructor‑led courses, videos, and job aids using instructional design best practices
Maintain and enhance materials by regularly reviewing, updating, and improving training content to reflect changes in policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
Manage the learning management system (LMS): upload, maintain, and optimize training content to ensure a smooth user experience, accurate employee tracking, and effective troubleshooting
Collaborate with stakeholders: partner with department leaders and SMEs to identify training needs and develop customized learning solutions that align with key organizational initiatives
Facilitate learning sessions by leading virtual and in‑person training on topics such as leadership development, compliance, technical skills, and professional growth
Evaluate program effectiveness using assessments, surveys, and feedback to improve content and delivery
Stay current with learning trends: research and apply the latest instructional design techniques, technologies, and best practices, including AI applications, to enhance training programs
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (required)
Experience facilitating in‑person and virtual training sessions
Experience working with web development tools, authoring tools, e‑learning technologies, and Adobe Suite
Experience using Articulate
Proven success creating training programs and content
Must be bondable and maintain bondable status throughout employment in accordance with regulatory requirements
Travel Requirements Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to visit regional offices, engage with remote employees, attend meetings, conferences, training, and other work‑related events.
