is recruiting for
Buying Assistants
who provide technical and clerical support for Purchasing for a department with specialized purchasing needs. Buying Assistants perform procurement related activities under the direction of a Purchasing Department lead, relating to the procurement of goods, materials, supplies and equipment; carry out related processing, research and record keeping functions; perform related duties as required.
Current vacancy: Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

Conditions of Employment A valid California Class C Driver License is required. Mileage reimbursement and proof of automobile liability insurance must be maintained.
San Bernardino County does not consider candidates requiring visa sponsorship.
Requirements
Two (2) years of full‑time equivalent experience in procurement or supply chain activities as it relates to Purchasing, including technical duties such as solicitation templates, vendor support, supply/material orders, storage, shipments, and/or bids.
Twenty‑four (24) semester (36 quarter) units in purchasing/supply management, business/public administration, finance, management, or a closely related field may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience.
Qualified candidates may be required to submit legible transcripts (unofficial acceptable) if utilizing substitution.
Experience in a government/public agency and/or healthcare or hospital environment; knowledge of purchasing principles, procedures, and terminology; proficiency with purchasing and spreadsheet software and with SAP SRM.
Preferred: Certified Public Purchasing Buyer (CPPB) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
