Reports to: Director of Learning Center Program
Salary Range: $43,000 - $70,000 (Dependent on experience and education - prorated based on number of days)

Qualifications
Knowledge of ODE's Social Emotional Learning Standards
Bachelor’s Degree
Teaching license: Mild/Moderate – Intervention Specialist or Education of handicapped in areas of learning disabilities/behavior disorders (LD/BD) or emotionally‑disturbed/severe behavior handicapped (ED/SBH).
Adheres to Code of Professional Conduct for Ohio Educators
Trained in CPI/Non‑Violent Crisis Prevention (preferred; training provided if needed)
Experience in IEP writing and Data Collection
Proficient at conducting FBAs and writing BIPs
Experience working with Emotionally Disturbed/Behaviorally Challenged Students
Knowledge of Ohio Academic Content Standards and ability to write lesson plans that coordinate with them and that are differentiated to meet the needs of all students on caseload
Ability to work with a team of professionals to meet the needs of every student
Excellent attendance record and punctuality
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
Prefer to have passing test score on Foundations of Reading (OAE 090)
General Description Constructs and implements Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Plans for ED & other students in Learning Center program; conducts evaluations required to document student progress toward goals & objectives; participates in parent conferences to share information pertaining to the IEP and student progress.
Abilities Required
Demonstrates professionalism and maintains a positive work attitude
Effectively uses verbal, nonverbal, writing and listening skills
Completes paperwork accurately
Verifies and correctly enters data
Organizes tasks and manages time effectively
Maintains an acceptable attendance record and is punctual
Employee shall remain free from any alcohol or non‑prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout employment in the center
Pass BCI/FBI background checks
